DALLAS - A just-released audit into operations at the North Texas Tollway Authority is critical of many of the agency's internal operations.
While the audit praised NTTA's performance on building roads, it criticizes the board for meddling in staff affairs.
The audit also cited poor communications between the board and the former executive director, who resigned last week.
In addition, it called for better oversight of consultant contracts.
A News 8 investigation recently uncovered consultant work that appeared to have been copied off the Internet.
The board said it pledges to implement as many of the recommendations as possible.
