IRVING — The Irving City official in charge of overseeing the controversial Las Colinas Entertainment Center no longer has a job.
Brenda McDonald, the city's former head of real estate development, had a $20,000-a-month consulting agreement to continue to oversee the planned $250 million entertainment complex.
McDonald's contract was abruptly canceled just days before it was to take effect.
Sources told News 8 Irving City Manager Tommy Gonzalez made the decision, but no reason was given.
