NEWS 8 INVESTIGATES
DALLAS — Wai-Wize has performed more than $3 million in consulting work as a sub-contractor at Parkland Memorial Hospital and UT Southwestern Medical Center.
For the past several weeks, News 8 has been denied access to records of the work done by Wai-Wize at Parkland.
The U.S. Justice Department has advised Parkland to withhold release of contracts with certain vendors and services. The government says releasing those records may interfere with a pending investigation of public corruption, tax evasion and money laundering.
News 8 learned about the request to withhold the documents several weeks ago during our investigation into Parkland's contracts with Wai-Wize.
