Environmental investigators routinely test the Trinity River for E. Coli. E. Coli is an indicator of fecal matter from warm-blooded animals and humans. E. Coli can indicate other harmful bacteria in the water. The portion of the Trinity River that flows through the core of Fort Worth, near the future site of Trinity Vision Uptown, is tested by the city of Fort Worth and the Tarrant Regional Water District on a monthly basis. Some of that data is submitted to the state, and some is not. TCEQ does not accept data from all sites. WFAA is working with both the city and TRWD to provide the latest sample results on this website. Click on a station to see water sample results for 2009 through the present.
