FORT WORTH — There has been no aerial spraying for disease-carrying mosquitoes in Tarrant County, but the City of Fort Worth is continuing its ground assault later this week in parts of zip code 76137, which is north of Loop 820 and east of Interstate 35W.

Residential areas, parks and greenbelt will be targeted in spraying that will take place on Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m.

The aim is to reduce the adult mosquito population and reduce the risk of exposure to the West Nile virus.
