PLANO - Pediatric Specialists of Plano tell us they are seeing the first cases of RSV.

RSV is a contagious respiratory virus that causes infection in the lungs and breathing passages.

In healthy people, the symptoms are similar to a common cold.

In premature babies and kids with lung disease, RSV can be dangerous, even deadly.

Call the doctor if your child has high fever, difficulty breathing, worsening cough, signs of dehydration or lethargy. And in babies, if they refuse to feed.
