LEWISVILLE — A 38-year-old Lewisville woman is out of the hospital after having a bowling ball-sized ovarian cyst removed last week.

Sherilyn Hurdle couldn't afford health insurance and didn't qualify for Medicaid until News 8 got involved.

She was released from Texas Health Plano Monday morning and given a clean bill of health. Doctors told her the suspicious cancer areas on the cyst have apparently not spread, so the surgery to remove the giant cyst cured her.
