A new risk assessment test is the latest tool North Texas physicians are using to fight breast cancer.

The procedure — which takes only seconds — is painless, and requires a simple DNA cheek swab.

Right now, only 30 physicians in North Texas offer the BREVAGen test, and Dr. Eric Jacoby was the first to perform it in Texas. He has screened more women with this new technology than any other physician in the country.

He discussed the new exam with WFAA's Shon Gables.
