DALLAS — Two conjoined twins separated at Medical City Children's Hospital last August are celebrating their first birthday in the comfort of their home.

Owen and Emmett Ezell moved home in June, and the hospital reports the boys are showing signs of improvement each day. They are no breathing on their own, and while feeding tubes limit their mobility, they can roll over on their own.

The boys' mother, Jenni Ezell, said Owen is starting to bounce and thinks he'll be scooting soon, and both Owen and Emmett like to stand (and long as they can pull themselves up with her help).

There will be an event on July 24 at Medical City to celebrate the twins' birthday.
