Flower Mound and Lewisville are each planning to spray insecticide against mosquitoes carrying West Nile following positive traps found inside those cities.
In Lewisville, traps tested positive in the 800 block of College Street and the 1700 block of South Edmonds Lane, causing city health officials to spray for the first time this year.
Trucks will spray overnight Tuesday and Wednesday beginning at 10 p.m. and "lasting most of the night." The chemical used, the city notes, has been declared safe for public use by the Environmental Protection Agency.
Flower Mound will spray near the 2500 block of Waketon Tuesday through Thursday between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. Here's more details on that.
