Ennis and Waxahachie are two small cities that make up one big high school football rivalry.
But when those teams meet on the gridiron next month, they will have more than just the game on their minds.
The Waxahachie ISD is warning student athletes to be cautious about the dangers of tuberculosis after Ennis students 128 Ennis students tested positive for exposure to the disease.
The Waxahachie team will use its own equipment, take their own water and limit close proximity to Ennis players.
"Waxahachie ISD is asking that all students, staff and fans conduct themselves in a courteous and respectful manner when the district takes on Ennis at all athletic events," the Waxahachie ISD said in a news release issued Wednesday.
Health officials say TB is spread through the air from one person to another, but they emphasize that just because someone is exposed to the bacteria does not mean they will get sick.
