DENTON - Three West Nile-related deaths were confirmed Tuesday in North Texas.
One death was reported in Denton County, one in Ellis County, and one death was reported in Dallas County.
A man in his 90s was confirmed as Denton County's first West Nile-related death in 2012. The man, who was not identified for privacy reasons, did have underlying health conditions, the county reported.
Details on the Ellis County patient were not known as of Tuesday afternoon.
The Dallas County patient lived in ZIP code 75229. That was the only information released.
Dallas County has reported eight total West Nile-related deaths. Tarrant, Denton and Ellis counties have each reported one. Tuesday's deaths raise the number of North Texas deaths to 11 in 2012.
This summer, North Texas has seen nearly 300 human cases of the virus.
