DUNCANVILLE - The Dallas County Health Department confirmed the county's ninth West Nile-related death Wednesday.
The patient was in ZIP code 75116, which is in Duncanville. No more patient information will be released.
It is the 12th West Nile-related death in North Texas this year.
The best way to avoid exposure to West Nile Virus is to practice the four Ds:
- use Insect repellents that contain DEET
- Drain any standing water
- Dress in long, loose and light-colored clothing and
- take extra care to use repellent and protective clothing from Dusk to Dawn.
