DALLAS — A 4-year-old girl was hit by a bullet during a home invasion in south Oak Cliff.

Police say two armed men tried to force their way into an apartment at about 4:30 a.m. Thursday in the 400 block of S. Walton Walker Blvd. According to police, the residents fought back.

One of the suspects fired shots into the home, hitting the 4-year-old girl in the arm as she slept in her bedroom. She was taken to Children's Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

Another child was home at the time, but was not hit.

Police are searching for the two suspects. They have not released a description of the suspects.
