The National Weather Service has issued a freeze warning for much of North Texas starting at 9 p.m. Monday through 10 a.m. Tuesday.

Temperatures may fall to 32 degrees or below for several hours in outlying areas; a shorter time closer to urban areas.

Dallas County and areas to the south and east were not included in the freeze warning, but an overnight frost advisory is in effect.

It will feel even colder, with winds out of the north up to 30 mph and gusts exceeding 35 mph.

Gardners are urged to provide overnight protection to plants that are sensitive to cold weather.
