FORT WORTH -- Police have arrested a suspect in connection to two shooting deaths that occurred eight miles apart early Monday morning in Fort Worth.
The suspect has been identified as Joshua Montrel Lewis, 34.
The arrest came after a woman was found fatally wounded just before 5 a.m. inside the lobby of a Motel 6 in the 6600 block of South Freeway, just south of Interstate 20 in Fort Worth.
A man was also found shot to death in the 2000 block of Daniel Drive. Police didn't reveal when his body was found.
At the scene, Germaine Young, the brother of the victim, told News 8 that the victim is 44-year-old Alton Young. Germaine says police told him the shooting was related to the Motel 6 shooting. Fort Worth police later confirmed they believe the same suspect is involved in both shootings.
Germaine also said his brother lived in Fort Worth his entire life, but he didn't live in the home where he was killed.
