Alligator spotted near school
ARLINGTON — Arlington animal control officers will try again this week to find an elusive alligator.
The five-foot gator was spotted at Cravens Park more than a week ago by students from a nearby elementary school.
Officers have tried tempting the alligator with roadkill and tearing down a beaver dam to drain his swimming pond.
Once the alligator is captured, it will be released at the Fort Worth Nature Center and Refuge.
