Social media helps Fort Worth animal shelter save furry lives

News 8 stopped by an animal shelter on Fort Worth's south side. On any given day, 50 to 75 animals could be euthanized here. But social media is helping reduce that number. "We've had our highest live-release rate ever, the last couple of months here," said Brandon Bennett with the Fort Worth Animal Shelter. Bennett says it's thanks to the Urgent Animals at Fort Worth Care and Control Facebook group.
