DALLAS — There's new help for homeless animals in North Texas. The SPCA opened its 70,000 square foot Jan Rees-Jones Animal Care Center in West Dallas Monday.
It replaces the group's 40-year-old facility on Riverfront Boulevard near Downtown Dallas.
The new SPCA has lots of room for homeless animals, a fully-equipped medical wing and surgery suite, playrooms and outdoor areas.
Low cost pet check-ups and spay or neuter surgeries are available to the public.
The SPCA is located at 2400 Lone Star Drive, on the northwest corner of Interstate 30 and Hampton Road.
