There are new developments in the case of thousands of animals seized from an exotic animal dealer in Arlington last month.

A municipal judge ruled that U.S. Global Exotics cruelly treated the animals. The owners appealed, but on Monday, an attorney for PETA filed a motion claiming there is no court of appeal for this case.

A hearing on that question is set for Thursday.

The SPCA wants the case settled quickly, because it's costing thousands of dollars a day to care for the animals that were seized.
