"The Tillman Story" is a meaningful, emotional knockout documentary that follows the short life and times of former NFL football player Pat Tillman and the shameful military cover-up that surrounded his tragic "friendly-fire" death in Afghanistan.

It is a family story that digs for the truth in the middle of pain, chaos and a political system unwilling to help.

"The Tillman Story" doesn't hold back, and director Amir Bar-Lev lets the Tillman family have their complete say. It's a devastating attack on the military, Congress, and the White House.

The truth is important and at times hard to watch in the finely tuned film. The film is consistent and never underestimate the power of family.
