I've seen G-Force and lived to tell about it. It's a 90-minute assault on the senses about highly-trained guinea pigs, trying to stop a maniacal billionaire from taking over the world. Gee, that's original, and did I mention the guinea pigs can talk?
I hate to sound cynical, but G-Force throws everything, including the kitchen sink and the toilet, towards the audience. The result is a joke here and there but mostly an extraordinary amount of chaos and 3-D special effects that lose their effect, after the first few minutes.
Consider yourself warned, G-Force is directed with a sledgehammer by Hoyt Yeatman, a legend in the visual effects arena, not in directing movies. But look what he's working with, talking animals that sound like college students with a degree in cliches.
G-Force is rated PG because it's filled with endless amounts of bathroom humor. Will kids like the frantic action? Probably, at least for a while, but this is truly a 90-minute movie that is 60 minutes too long.
