Earth marks the welcome return of Disney in their effort to make nature films that appeal to all ages.
Between 1948 and 1960, Disney nature films were a staple and with Earth, they have chosen wisely in exploring a year in the life of polar bears, humpback whales, and elephants.
Earth will remind you of the magnificent BBC series Planet Earth, and in theatres it's simply breathtaking watching such magnificent creatures in their natural habitat and filmed with such care and concern.
James Earl Jones provides the narration to Earth, and one of the highlights happens to focus on a nest of baby ducks, jumping for freedom and attempting to fly for the first time.
Earth is rated a family-friendly G, and on the big screen is a grand and glorious adventure.
This is the first in a series of Disney nature films to be released.
Big Cats and Chimpanzee are on the way but for now, celebrating planet Earth, is a good way to start.
