Poll:
Did you vote on Election Day?

DALLAS — Nine-term Democratic Rep. Eddie Bernice Johnson won re-election in District 30 Tuesday after facing a challenge from Republican Stephen Broden.

With 77 percent of precincts reporting, Johnson controlled more than three-quarters of the vote.

In the weeks leading up to Election Day, Johnson was embroiled in scandal after it was revealed that she had provided scholarships from the Congressional Black Caucus to family members and friends.

Attention was also focused on Broden last month after his controversial statements on population control, Nazis and violent revolution.
