DALLAS — A familiar face won the 2013 Dallas Morning News Spelling Bee at the WFAA studios on Saturday.

Plano eighth-grader Chetan Reddy correctly spelled the word "myocarditis" for his fourth consecutive victory in the regional tournament.

Last year, the Rice Middle School student placed 22nd nationally.

By the way, the winning word — myocarditis — means inflammation of the heart muscle.

The 55th annual Dallas Morning News Spelling Bee will be broadcast Sunday afternoon at two o'clock on WFAA Channel 8.

Chetan will once again appear in the Scripps National Spelling Bee at the end of May in Washington, D.C.
