MURPHY -- Hunt Elementary School will undergo changes more than a week after police arrested a teacher for alleged sexual misconduct with a student.

Todd Reich is in jail and facing charges.

Earlier Friday, Plano ISD Superintendent Richard Matkin sent out a newsletter telling parents about the changes.

Forty-eight more security cameras will be added to the school's gyms and common areas, windows will be added to all solid doors on offices and classrooms to add visibility, and all window coverings will be taken down. Additionally, the school will now have extra counselors and a full-time assistant principal.

Friday's letter comes after a contentious meeting on Tuesday night.

The district said it could not legally answer questions from parents during that meeting. Instead, the answers have to go through a review process. The superintendent said they'll post answers on the Hunt Elementary School website.
