DALLAS - A group of Dallas pastors are reaching out to make sure that students are safe heading into the summer.
Friday, they patrolled the DART's Kiest Station directing students to get on the right train, and asking them to leave if they were just hanging around the area.
The pastors are patrolling areas near Dallas schools, watching to make sure that students are behaving, not getting into fights, or becoming victims themselves.
Traditionally, districts see more problems during the last week of school.
DISD police will also be beefing up their security, concentrating on areas that have had recent problems.
In the Pleasant Grove area six students have been robbed leaving school over the last few weeks. While investigators still try to track down suspects, now they have some help to try and prevent another incident from happening.
