Poll:
Should the Texas Rainy Day Fund be used for education?

Arlington ISD alone will face an estimated $48 million gap. That means about 390 positions will be eliminated and about a third of those are teaching jobs.

The administrative office will have its budget trimmed by five percent, but those pay cuts are not on the table.

Dr. Mac Bernd, former Arlington ISD superintendent, has lived through the difficult task ahead.
