FORT WORTH — Fort Worth ISD Trustee Ann Sutherland doesn't know what to expect at the next school board meeting, but when she looked at the agenda, she saw trouble.
In that document she found this item: "Consider and Take Action on Board Resolution Censuring Trustee Ann Sutherland."
It's the last entry on Tuesday's meeting beginning at 5 p.m. at the Fort Worth Board Complex on Shotts Street.
Sutherland, who represents District 6, told News 8 she has no idea what the reprimand is about.
"It is disappointing that the district would single out one trustee without providing the charges," she wrote in an e-mailed response. "It is hard to prepare for the hearing without knowing what the charge is."
Sutherland, who is known to be outspoken, has criticized the district on several issues, including class size and district finances. She has a blog and has submitted open records requests seeking information.
News 8 also contacted school board president Judy Needham. "I will have no comment until the censure is addressed," she wrote in an e-mail.
WFAA will provide updates from Tuesday's meeting.
