DALLAS - The Dallas County district attorney dropped charges against a father whose daughter missed too much school.
DISD charged Kenneth Martinez with aiding truancy.
News 8 ran two stories in July about Martinez' daughter, a special needs student, and allegations that she had been sexually abused when left alone with a DISD employee, Rondle Ray Sams, Jr., in the copy room of Thomas Edison Middle School. Dallas police issued a warrant for Sams on July 9.
Martinez said he kept his daughter out of school when he feared for her safety.
