FORT WORTH -- A Fort Worth ISD bus carrying nine children crashed through a dividing wall Thursday just before 7 p.m. in the 5000 block of Alta Mesa Boulevard near Whitman Avenue.
No one was seriously hurt, though the bus driver was taken to Harris Methodist Hospital as a precaution.
According to witnesses, the bus swerved to miss an oncoming car as it was taking the nine Wedgwood Middle School students home following an after-school program. The car hit the bus, which ended up in a backyard.
The students were placed aboard another bus and taken home.
The driver of the car wasn't injured.
It was unclear if charges would be filed.
