From discounted tickets to the Children's Aquarium to free breakfast at Mimi's Café . Laura Thornquist gives today's insider savings tips.

It's hard to believe, but there are only 10 days left of the State Fair. And, if you want to take your kids to the Children's Aquarium at Fair Park, this is a good time to do it.

If you visit the aquarium during the State Fair, everyone gets in for only $5. All Seniors, 60 years and older, get in free. And, if you present a Cinemark movie ticket stub today, you also get free admission.

On Wednesday the 19th, admission to the State Fair is just $2 with a donation of three cans of food or other non-perishable items.

If a trip to Granbury is in your future, HEB is helping you pack your cooler. That's right, head over to Granbury's Facebook page and click on the HEB promo tab. This will register you for a chance to win a $100 HEB gift card. The more your register, the more chances you have to win. Saturday is the last day to register, good luck.

And if you are on your way to the State Fair or to Granbury, stop by Mimi's Café for a free meal. There's a coupon you can print on my website for a buy one meal and two drinks and get another entree for free! This coupon is only good through tomorrow, so print today and enjoy a free meal on Mimi's Café.

Final note, some of our readers are sharing some really great in store deals. Right now at Target, keep your eyes peeled for clearance on Charmin, shower curtains as low as $2 and sheet sets for as low as $4.
