We have put together a list on my website where to find the best deals for certain products.

For Backpacks, Walgreens offers a buy one get one free offer and at Target you can get them starting at $9.

For Crayons, Office Max is your best bet at $0.20 cents, followed by Kroger at $0.39!

Glue this week, Office Max or Staples is your best bet and for pens, try CVS, Staples or Walgreens.

My best advice, pick out three stores to shop this week for your most needed back to school items and do a little comparison shopping.

If you're waiting until the last minute you may as well take advantage of the tax free weekend and save an extra few bucks!

And if your kids need a haircut for school, I have a $5 off coupon to Cool Cuts on my website. This deal is good on any $11.95 or higher hair cut.

You do not have to break the bank to get what you want when it comes to school shopping.

Here are a few simple tips to follow:

  • Take inventory at home
  • Buy in bulk
  • Avoid trendy products

Take inventory of what you already have at home. Sometimes we forget that we bought extra supplies last year.

Secondly, buy in bulk. If you find a great price on pens, get enough for the year.

Finally, try to avoid buying trendy products. You may think it is cute to buy a Hello Kitty lunchbox, but your daughter may not like it next year.
