Today seems like the perfect day to go to the Dallas Zoo. Laura Thornquist explains with today's "Insider Savings" tips.

It's "Dollar Day" at the Dallas Zoo; so pack up the car and the family and enjoy a beautiful day at the zoo for just $1 from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.

And, there will be $1 deals on food at select locations inside the zoo. While admission is $1, you will need to pay $7 for parking, so think about taking the DART Red Line to avoid the traffic and the parking price.

If you miss today's Dollar Day at the Dallas Zoo, there will be another one on November 20.

Another day to celebrate is National Lollypop Day. Kids will be happy about this deal, too.

Friday is National Lollypop Day and See's Candies is celebrating by giving away free Lollypops.

See's Candies has stores at the Stonebriar Mall in Frisco and North East Mall in Hurst. The free gourmet Lollypops will be available all day Friday.

And, while you are there, enter the See's National Lollypop Day sweepstakes.

You could win a VIP tour of the See's San Francisco Lollypop and chocolate factories.

The prize includes airfare and accommodations for four nights in San Francisco.

While you are there, check out the 7,000 pound sucker that is hoping to set records for the world's largest Lollypop.

Also, stop by Bob Evans for a free breakfast with a coupon for a buy one get one free breakfast entree. The coupon is good through July 21. For more details, visit,
