Insider Savings: Kroger ends coupon bonuses

Many of us stretch a dollar by clipping coupons, and when stores double or triple the face value of those coupons, the savings can really add up.

But one major supermarket chain in North Texas says its days of multiplying coupons are over.

Kroger will change its policy after September 14, although Tom Thumb, Albertsons and Brookshire will still enhance coupon values — at least for the time being.
