Almost every week, WFAA's "Inside Saver" shares how you can get stuff for cheap and often free.
But, most of the time, it takes a coupon. Laura Thornquist gives details on how coupons don't take a ton of time, plus a couple of freebies including pretzels and ice cream.
With grocery prices on the rise, now it's more important than ever to save. That often takes a coupon, and there have been some really great ones available where you can get a ton of free products. Last week, I counted more than 20 freebies you could get at the store with coupons
I don't touch my coupons until Saturday morning; then I go to my coupon database to find what I need.
For example, your wife sends an APB, you're out of diapers! Gentleman, you can be a real hero and score some brownie points. Here's how - run to the computer, click on the database, type in the diaper brand you like and walaaah, a coupon pops up. Just print or cut it out from your Sunday circular and you have scored serious brownie points with your wife. The best part, the database is absolutely free.
For the business owner who has a product, you can get $75 in free advertising from Amazon. It's a pay-per-click advertising program, and clicks start at just 10 cents each. The clicks on your ad will take customers directly to your website. Just set up a free account with Amazon product ads.
Now for our bellies. Just stop by a Pretzelmaker today and say "National Pretzel Day" and collect on your free pretzel. In the Dallas-Fort Worth area you can get your freebie at Ridgmar and Grapevine Mills Mall!
And the ice cream isn't completely free - I have to admit - but 31 cents is pretty close. Here's a yummy reminder. Tomorrow from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. head on over to Baskin Robbins for a .31 cent scoop of ice cream. Proceeds will be going to the National Fallen Firefighters Association.
