RICHLAND HILLS — Three people, including a child, were rushed to the hospital early Saturday after a fire heavily damaged their home.
Firefighters were called to the residence in the 2700 block of Rosebud Lane at 12:30 a.m., and extra manpower was summoned because of the heat.
The two adults and a child younger than 10 years old were being treated for smoke inhalation, according to a statement from the City of Richland Hills.
The blaze caused significant damage to the garage and kitchen areas of the home, and a vehicle was also burned.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
