GRAPEVINE – North Texas parents can soon add a new activity to their list of summer events for the kids.
Construction is nearly finished on an interactive driving course inside the Grapevine Mills Mall's Legoland Discovery Center.
On Tuesday morning, News 8 got a sneak peak at the attraction.
“Lego City: Forest Ranger Pursuit” includes 5,000 square feet worth of driving. This is the first time the attraction will add a new ride since opening in April 2011.
"The Grapevine Community as well as the Dallas/Fort Worth community are absolutely wonderful, and they really support us in this,” said Courtney Tolbert, the Marketing manager at Legoland. “With the children and families around it's a wonderful way to promote families engaging with one another and children's fun."
The Forest Ranger Pursuit ride opens on June 1.
It will be the only one in the United States. The only other one is in Manchester, England. There will be no additional fee to participate in the driving experience.
Entry is included in the overall price of admission to Legoland.
