DALLAS - The new iPhone 5 debuts in stores Friday, and you can bet there will be long lines at Apple Stores across North Texas.
A group of Apple fanatics started camping out Monday in front of the Apple Store on Knox in Dallas.
The creative and social media agency Black Book Ink snagged the number one spot in line Monday, but the group has no intention of sacrificing their daily routine, home luxuries or even their work-outs during the week-long stay outside the store. This isn't your normal style of camping, it's called "glamping".
"Glamping" is a classy way to camp where all the comforts of home are camping with you. That means Black Book Ink's "glampsite" is equipped with three main areas: sleeping, working/dining and lounging, all decorated and glammed up.
Founding partner of Black Book Ink Sabrina Dee said that creating a stylish "glampsite" will "enable both work and leisure [for the team] while patiently awaiting the iPhone 5."
The week-long excursion does not mean a vacation. The team from Black Book Ink will be working each day from the "glampsite." Not only will they be tweeting about their iPhone 5 adventures, but their dining table will double as a conference table for client meetings.
The "glampers" will enjoy meals catered in by local restaurants each day as well as personal trainers on site to keep up fitness routines. Camping doesn't sound too bad when it's "glamping."
Black Book Ink's 5 days of "glamping" will definitely pay off as they will be the first customers to receive the iPhone 5 come Friday at the Apple Store on Knox in Dallas!
