FAIRVIEW - This holiday season, the Collin County Humane Society is doing something special for families in need. It's called the Wishbone Holiday Campaign, and on Friday, WFAA's Wyatt Goolsby went to Fairview to talk with several of those families that could use your help.
The Wishbone Holiday Campaign is organized by members of the Humane Society who want to collect donations to help families who have been hit hard financially. They want to help those families who cannot afford even basic needs for their pets, like food and vaccinations.
Leo and Lauren Almeida, for example, have been hit hard like so many in tough economic times, but don't want to give up a member of their family, their dog Junior.
Lola and Bob Lowen are in need of help after much of their finances is going towards treating Lola for ovarian cancer. Again, donations will go to help basic needs so they can keep their pets by their side during difficult times in their lives.
The Humane Society has listen all the details, including each of the families stories and how you can sponsor one of them, by going to their website.
