FLOWER MOUND -- WFAA's Wyatt Goolsby takes the technology of Instant Live 8 on a Black Friday shopping trip with a pro.

Holly Homer and her 10-year-old son Ryan are super shoppers who map out thier Black Friday trips. Holly has done this for the past nine years and is teaching her son the tricks of the trip.

The pair's map included which stores and what times they were going.

News 8 followed the two from store to store in Flower Mound near Highland Village, as they looked for discounts and small freebies as they worked through the crowds.

Homer said she's always looking for the best deals, but she added Black Friday shopping for her is more about having fun than standing in long lines."It's kind of our tradition,” Homer explained.

“This is our 9th year and we started when Ryan was a baby. He was up anyway, so I was like, ‘Why not be shopping?’ since you’re up. So, we've done it every year, and it's more about the adventure. Then, we go eat a very big breakfast."

Homer told News 8 no matter when you do your holiday shopping, she always advises to come with a plan.
