Amy Kushnir of My Texas Today prepared these Halloween treats on News 8 Daybreak Saturday, October 27.
Candy Corn Munch
Ingredients
- 1 bag Fall Colored M&Ms
- 2 bags Candy Corn (Brach’s is my fav)
- 1 bag Reese’s Pieces candy
- 1/2 lg. bag pretzels sticks
- 1 box Cheez-Its (original)
- 1 jar Honey Roasted peanuts
- 1 pkg. Halloween Oreos (broken into quarter pieces)
Directions
- Pour desired amounts of each ingredient into a large bowl.
- Toss well and top with Oreo chunks.

Ominous Flaky Owls
Ingredients
- 1 8 oz. can Pillsbury Crescent Rolls
- 8 Pretzel Goldfish
- 1 Tbs. butter, melted
- 1 - 2 Tbs. cinnamon sugar
- 16 milk chocolate stars
Directions
- Heat oven to 375 degrees.
- Remove cold dough from package {do not unroll}
- With a serrated knife, cut dough into exactly 16 slices
- Press two roll slices together {side by side}
- Slightly unroll an 1“ of dough at top of both slices and fold to form pointed horns on the owl.
- Place each owl on an ungreased cookie sheet about 2” apart.
- Brush owls with melted butter then lightly sprinkle cinnamon sugar over each.
- Press a pretzel goldfish {tail pointed toward top of owl’s head} into the center for the nose.
- Bake for 10 minutes or until golden brown.
- Immediately press chocolate stars making eyes on each owl.
- Cool completely {about 15 minutes} before serving.
