Daybreak recipe: Agua de Melon

Amy Kushnir of My Texas Today welcomes Ramiro Ramirez, owner of  Salsa Limon restaurant in Fort Worth, as they make a simple and refreshing beverage called Agua de Melon to beat the heat.


INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cantaloupe
  • 1 cup of raw sugar from sugar cane
  • 1 gallon of purified water
  • 1 small can of condensed milk

DIRECTIONS

  1. Peel and cube the cantaloupe.
  2. Blend cantaloupe until liquified.
  3. Add fruit to water and mix.
  4. Add condensed milk.
  5. Top off with sugar to taste and serve with ice.
