DALLAS — Police say alcohol may have played a role in a crash that knocked out a power pole early Tuesday morning in the 2800 block of Fitzhugh Ave. in Dallas.
Authorities were alerted to the crash at about 3:40 a.m. The crash left about 1,000 customers without power for about 30 seconds before the power was automatically rerouted, Oncor reported.
Power lines fell with the pole and a damaged transformer leaked fluid. Hazmat was called to the scene to clean up the liquid.
The condition of the suspected drunk driver is not known.
