Two arrested in shooting deaths of Crowley teen, adult

CROWLEY - More than three months after two Crowley males were found shot dead in a roadway, police have arrested and charged two Fort Worth men in connection to their murders.

Kyle Mathis Otey, 20, and Alexander Chowdhury, 20, both turned themselves and were later charged with capital murder Wednesday. Both Otey and Chowdhury were released after they each posted their $100,000 bonds.

Authorities haven't released a motive for the shooting deaths of Edgar Ramirez, 17, and Matthew Lemus, 19.

The victims were found dead on Aug. 5 at about 11:45 p.m. in a roadway located in the 700 block of Hutchins Drive.

"Out of respect for the families, no interviews will be granted by the Crowley Police Department," said Lt. Robert Gray in a statement released Thursday.
