Suspect arrested in string of home invasions

DPD arrested Mike Leija in connection to the recent home invasion robberies within the South Central Patrol Division. Patrol Officers were provided information from citizens describing the suspect and suspect's vehicle and were able to locate the vehicle

DALLAS - Dallas police have arrested one suspect in a string of home-invasion robberies in South Oak Cliff, but they are still looking for three others.

In a news conference Saturday, police identified the suspect as 28-year-old Mike Leija, charged with four counts of aggravated robbery and one count of possession of a controlled substance.

He is being held at the Dallas County jail on $201,000 bond.    

Police believe he is connected to four home invasions, three on Monday and one on Thursday, in South Oak Cliff.

Leija admit to three of the four crimes, said police. 

Police are looking for three more suspects linked to the home invasions. 

- Latin female, 5’0”, skinny, brown hair, visible tattoos on her chest, last seen wearing a pink shirt
- Black male light skinned or Hispanic male , last seen wearing a red and white zip up hoodie, white t-shirt, blue jeans, white basketball shoes and a black do-rag on his head
- Latin male, 20-25, 5’10”, 230, heavy-set, last seen wearing an orange tee-shirt
