DALLAS -- No officers were injured after a drive-by shooting suspect fired his weapon during a foot pursuit in East Oak Cliff early Thursday.
At about 1:30 a.m, the Dallas Police Department responded to a call about a drive-by shooting in the 4100 block of Biglow Drive.
Officers located the suspected vehicle and there was a brief police chase that ended in the 1500 block of East Overton Road, approximately half a mile away from Biglow Drive, when three male suspects abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot.
Police gave chase once again and that's when one of the suspects fired his weapon, although it hasn't been determined if he was aiming at officers or how many shots were fired.
At least two of the suspects were apprehended in the area a short time later without further incident and are facing multiple charges.
It is unclear if the third suspect was apprehended, but the scene has since cleared and there is no longer an active search.
Police officers did not fire their weapons and no injuries were reported in either shooting incident, It remains unclear if anyone was home at the time of the drive-by shooting.
