ROWLETT, Texas -- Police in Rowlett are looking for a man who has been approaching children in a neighborhood.
Police were called Dec. 4 at about 3:30 p.m. after a group of kids walking near Smartt Street and Lois Lane say a man pulled up in a car and offered them candy. They told him no. He again offered candy to another kid who was walking by his vehicle toward the group.
The kids ran home and told their parents, who called police.
While being interviewed by officers, one of the kids said that a week prior, the same man pulled up in front of a residence as the kid was leaving. The man asked if that was where they lived, and the child didn't say anything and ran to a friend's house, police said.
The man is described as being white and having dark hair. He's believed to be in his mid-20s with a medium build. He was driving a black, four-door, mid-sized car.
