GARLAND -- The body of a woman who was stabbed to death by a man she lived with was discovered by police Tuesday, two days after she was murdered.
The suspect, identified as 60-year-old Ryan Howell, was waiting for police outside the home at the 900 block of Meadowdale Circle after they responded to a 911 call just after 4:30 p.m.
Howell told first responders that he'd killed the woman inside and was immediately taken into custody.
The unidentified woman was found a short time later. Investigators believe she was stabbed to death with a knife sometime Sunday.
Police are also investigating a a 55-year-old man who lived at the location, but he has not been charged with a crime, pending the outcome of the investigation.
Howell has been charged with murder and remains in police custody. The relationships of the three have not been released.
