ARLINGTON - A 28-year-old driver was arrested and faces a charge of intoxication manslaughter after a fatal two-vehicle crash Thursday night in Arlington.
Carlos Cruz was heading northbound on Watson Road at about 10 p.m. when his vehicle struck a Chevrolet Trailblazer heading east on Pioneer Parkway, read a statement from the Arlington Police Department. The driver of the Trailblazer was transported to Medical Center of Arlington, where he was pronounced dead.
Police believe Cruz was intoxicated at the time of the crash and arrested him at the scene.
The identity of the deceased driver was not released.
